Steps to loosening your car\u2019s air valve caps<\/span> <\/span><\/h3>\n

What you will need: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Spray lubricant (WD-40) <\/em><\/p>\n

2 snub-nosed pliers<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Rotate your wheel\/tire so the cap is upside down from your point of view.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Spray a small amount of lubricant onto the valve.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Tightly grasp the base of the valve stem with pliers.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Grasp the cap with your other set of pliers and twist until it becomes free.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Replace cap after filling tire with proper amount of air.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

This process shouldn\u2019t take longer than a few minutes, but if you still have trouble getting the cap off, try using more WD-40 and let it sit for a little bit before twisting again.
