When shopping for a vehicle, many of our customers veer toward our selection of high-quality used trucks. These vehicles were built to help you work hard and play harder, and there is more TLC during the manufacturing process to ensure long-lasting dependability. One of the most-praised truck models on the market is the Ford F-150. This truck is known for its performance and dependability, and it is a great choice if you are shopping for a used option. Even with its highly regarded dependability, it is important that you maintain your Ford F-150, and one of the best ways to do that is by giving it an oil change every three months or 3,000 miles.
According to the 2020 Ford F-150 Owner’s Manual, most engine options will use SAE 5W-30 engine oil or SAE 0W-30 (for 22-below weather temperatures). Motorcraft brand oil is preferred, but any API (American Petroleum Institute)-certified brand is fine to use. There should be no additives in the engine oil.
Please note that this oil recommendation is for a 2020 Ford F-150 truck. Models that were recently manufactured will most likely have similar recommendations, but check your owner’s manual for confirmation.
